Lyrify

Music streaming with the lyrics on screen — synced line by line, all the way to a karaoke mode.

Lyrify's now-playing screen with synced lyrics, on a phone

Context

Lyrify is a mobile music-streaming app from Madagascar that puts lyrics at the centre of listening and works offline. The work covered the app's UX/UI and its brand design.

  1. 01

    The challenge

In most streaming apps, lyrics are an extra. Lyrify needed an interface where following the words feels natural while a song plays, alongside the essentials of streaming — discovery, search and artist pages — and a brand to carry it.

  2. 02

    What we built

A dark, music-first interface: a library home with top albums, top artists and recently played tracks; a now-playing screen with synced lyrics under the artwork; and a full-screen karaoke mode.

Search with recent queries, artist pages with their most-played tracks and playlists, and the Lyrify brand across the app.

  3. 03

    The outcome

A focused listening experience where lyrics are part of the product rather than an extra, carried by a consistent interface and brand.

  • Lyrify welcome and library screens
  • Now playing, with synced lyrics
  • Lyrify on a phone: “a whole new way to listen”
  • Karaoke mode and search
  • An artist page with most-played tracks
