Lokaly
A marketplace app that gives unsold bakery goods a second chance: discounted, nearby and ordered in a few taps.

Context
Lokaly is an anti-food-waste app from Madagascar: bakeries and food sellers can offer their unsold goods for resale at a reduced price instead of discarding them. The product was developed with a team and was a laureate of the CFME's “Mon Projet Innovant” competition in 2024. The UX/UI design covered the customer app and the seller side.
01
The challenge
Unsold goods have a short window. Buyers need to see deals near them at a glance and order before the day ends; sellers need to list a product in seconds, with its usual and reduced price.
02
What we built
A customer app built around discovery: offers near you, categories, product pages with details, payment and location, favourites, a cart and notifications when new deals go on sale.
On the seller side, a short form to publish an unsold product with its normal and sale price, for pickup or delivery. Account creation takes a few steps, with SMS verification.
03
The outcome
A clear path from spotting a discounted item to ordering it, and a short listing flow for sellers, both designed around how quickly unsold food loses its value.
