Mobi
A carpooling app that makes sharing a ride in Antananarivo simple, affordable and reassuring.

Context
Mobi is a mobile carpooling app designed for people living in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Drivers share their journeys, passengers find a seat, and everyone splits the cost. The work covered the UX/UI design of the app.
01
The challenge
Getting into a stranger’s car takes trust, and in a busy capital every minute counts. The app had to make it clear who is driving, how much the ride costs and when the car will arrive, while letting the same person be a passenger one day and a driver the next.
02
What we built
A welcome screen with two clear paths, “I’m looking for a ride” and “I’m offering a ride”, which users can switch between at any time. A profile photo step, because a real face reassures fellow travellers. A main screen to enter the departure and the destination, with the map.
Search results that show each driver with their rating, number of trips, car and price in ariary, accepted or declined in one tap. And live tracking: the driver’s distance and arrival time, the pick-up point and a direct way to contact them.
03
The outcome
A carpooling journey you can follow from start to finish: from the first screen to the driver’s arrival, every step answers the questions that matter (who, how much, when) in a few taps.
